Now, there's four 10-millimeter bolts at the top so I'm switching over to an impact gun and a deep socket. All right, next up here, just pull that trim piece all the way off and set it aside. All right, next up, let's get our grille out of the way. Once that's off, you can start cracking that guy loose. So once you have one taken care of, repeat on the other side. I'm just going to take this one screw off in each wheel well. Now, the reason we're doing that is because this entire trim piece that goes along all underneath the headlights and grille has to come off. Now that all those clips are off, let's just lift up on the shroud and set it aside.Next up, we have to head over to the wheel well to remove this one Phillips head screw. Do that for each one along the entire shroud. But once that's up, you can pull it off all together just like that. Once that's up, you don't necessarily need to take it off in two pieces. You're just going to pry up on the middle section. What you're going to do is take a panel removal tool, I'm going to start with this guy here. Now, there's a bunch of these plastic black push pin clips here. We're going to remove the radiator shroud. I'm going to show you every step of the process, what do you say, we get started?Tools used in this install include an impact gun or a ratchet, extension, 10-millimeter deep socket, 10-millimeter ratcheting wrench or regular wrench recommended, and a Phillips head screwdriver. All right, first step here, we have to uninstall our factory headlights. Really going to be simple, take you about an hour from start to finish to tackle both sides. Not gonna be the case here, just plugs right into the factory harness, and it comes with a separate resistor that you can plug right into the harness on the back of these. Now, sometimes you get these Halo accents or the U-bar DRL accents, and you gotta splice them into parking lights and things like that. Anybody can tackle this in the driveway at home with a few simple hand tools because this is a direct plug-and-play. But this is good for the guys looking for that clear lens with the black interior, a lot different than your factory ones.As far as the pricing, you can expect this guy to come in right around 525 bucks, and the install I'm giving one-out-of-three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Even if it was smoked, I'd say these lights are so bright it wouldn't be a problem whatsoever. Now, the black interior mixed with the clear lens on the outside gives you the impression of a smoked headlight without hindering any lighting output. The interior, as I said earlier, is black. You also get amber reflectors on the side there as well. Now, I know it looks very chrome and flashy with them off but once they're on, it is going to be really bright amber. Those are actually going to act as your turn signals and your hazards flashing in a really bright amber. You can see there are chrome LED accents on the side. All of those bulbs are built into the housing, no need to transfer over any factory options. You can see our low beams on at the top here. It's really going to make things look a lot cleaner, a lot more attractive, and honestly a lot safer because they are so much brighter. Now, of course, you get the projector styling for the high and low beams. This design is something you see on a lot of the newer model vehicles coming out from the factory, and this is going to modernize the front end. Now, that's going to act as a DRL when you flick your parking or headlights on and light up this bright, attractive light. Now, this obviously uses that dual U-bar shape as the headline says, and that's going to be this u-shaped DRL, or daytime running light. And this guy is going to be just a little bit different, separating you from the pack out on the road. You should be checking these out if you're looking to switch up your factory front headlights for something that's honestly pretty unique in the category. Now, we know headlights have a ton of different options in the aftermarket world, especially for the Silverados here. And today, we're taking a closer look at and, of course, installing the Dual U-Bar Halo Projector Headlights available in black for the '14 to '15 Silverado 1500.
